The exclusive-lead difference
The largest Medicare lead aggregators sell each lead to 5–7 agents simultaneously. By the time you call the consumer, they've taken four other calls — usually they don't pick up. Industry close rates on shared leads run 2–5%. The "lead is dead" problem.
LeadCo's model: each Medicare lead is sold to exactly one agent. No shared distribution. No resale to a second buyer after delivery. No recycling aged leads back into the active pool 60 days later. You are the first and only insurance agent calling that consumer about Medicare. Close rates on exclusive real-time Medicare leads run 8–18% for established agents working AEP and 12–22% during high-intent windows like Birthday Rule periods.
Lead types we sell
Medigap (Medicare Supplement)
Consumers shopping federally-standardized Medicare Supplement plans — Plan G, Plan N, High-Deductible Plan G, and Plan F (existing enrollees). Highest-intent Medicare lead type because Medigap shoppers are already past the "should I take MA or Medigap" decision. Highest-volume during the consumer's initial 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period (turning 65 + Part B), and continuous in Birthday Rule states (CA, ID, IL, KY, LA, MD, NV, OK, OR), Anniversary Rule states (MO), and year-round-GI states (CT, ME, MA, NY, VT).
Medicare Advantage
Consumers comparing Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO plans during AEP (Oct 15 – Dec 7) and initial enrollment. MA leads include Part D-bundled (MA-PD) intent, often paired with dental/vision/hearing benefit shopping. MA-OEP (Jan 1 – Mar 31) generates a second wave of plan-switch leads.
Standalone Part D
Consumers on Original Medicare or Medigap shopping prescription drug coverage. Highest-intent during AEP. Specific high-cost-medication leads available — consumers whose current Part D doesn't cover their specialty drug optimal. With the new 2026 $2,000 Part D out-of-pocket cap, many consumers re-shopped during AEP 2025 and continue refining.
Special Needs Plans (SNP)
Chronic Condition (C-SNP) and Dual-Eligible (D-SNP) leads — qualifying-condition or Medicare/Medicaid dual-eligibility. SNP leads have stricter qualification but higher LTV; the agent who places a D-SNP enrollee often retains them for years given the lock-in dynamics.
Geographic and intent filtering
Filter your lead flow by:
- State — match your licensure footprint
- County or ZIP — territory carve-outs for multi-agent agencies
- Radius — leads within X miles of a specific point
- Lead type — Medigap only, MA only, all Medicare, etc.
- Daily/weekly cap — limit volume to your call capacity
- Quiet hours — pause delivery outside your business hours
Most agencies set state-level filters matching their licensure plus a daily volume cap based on agent capacity.

ROI math worked example
Established agent, AEP, Medigap exclusive real-time at $40/lead:
- 100 leads × $40 = $4,000 cost
- 12% close rate = 12 enrollments
- Average Medigap first-year commission ≈ $375 (varies by carrier and plan)
- 12 × $375 = $4,500 first-year revenue
- Plus ongoing renewal commission (6–10 years typical persistency)
- Net positive in year 1; renewal revenue is pure margin
This is a representative example, not a guarantee. Actual close rate depends on agent skill, speed-to-call, follow-up cadence, and carrier appointments. New agents typically see 5–8% close in their first 90 days; established agents 10–15%; top-performing agencies 15–22% on the best Medigap segments.
TCPA compliance
Every consumer lead on the LeadCo network includes:
- Prior express written consent via affirmative checkbox at the consumer-facing form
- Explicit consent language naming licensed insurance agents and partners as the calling parties
- Captured at submission: exact consent text, timestamp, IP address, user agent string, source URL
- Retention: consent records held for the full TCPA statute of limitations period (4 years) and provided to you with each lead
- State DNC compliance: consumer phone numbers checked against the federal DNC list at submission; consent supersedes federal DNC for the calling party named
You should still maintain your own internal DNC list and respect consumer revocation requests. We provide the consent infrastructure; you're responsible for your own contact cadence and post-consent compliance.
